Poll: Progressives Would Win 36.3, Freedom and Justice Party 9.8 Percent of Votes

According to a survey conducted by public opinion research agency Stata, the Serbian Progressive Party would win 36.3 percent of votes, ahead of the Freedom and Justice Party with 9.8 percent and the Socialist Party of Serbia with 7.3 percent.

Asked about coalitions, 44 percent of the respondents would support the coalition of the Progressives and Socialists, 38 percent the coalition of the opposition parties which technically organize Serbia Against Violence protests, 11 percent would back the bloc of opposition nationalist parties, while 7 percent of the polled was undecided or would vote for some other political party.    

Next in the ratings is the People’s Party led by Miroslav Aleksic with 5.5 percent, followed by Serbia Center of Zdravko Ponos with 4.4 percent, the Green-Left Front, 4 percent, the Oath Keepers, 3.4 percent, the Ecological Uprising, 3.1 percent, and the New Democratic Party of Serbia with 3 percent.  

Below the threshold would remain the Movement Dveri with 2.6 percent, the European Path-Basta, 2.5 percent, the Movement of Free Citizens, 1.9 percent, the Social Democratic Party, 1.5 percent, the Serbian Radical Party, 1.2 percent, the Democratic Party, 1.2 percent, Together, 0.6 percent, and the People’s Party with 0.5 percent.  

The percentage of votes which the ruling coalition would receive approximately equals the sum of the votes of the Progressives and the Socialists, while the two opposition blocs would win more votes in coalitions than the sum of votes they would win running independently, according to Stata agency researcher Jovanka Vukmirovic. She also said that a total of 1,580 citizens had been surveyed and that the sample structure matched the 2022 census data.
