British special envoy for the Western Balkans Stuart Peach met separately with Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic in Belgrade on Nov. 24 with whom he discussed bilateral ties, Kosovo and the region.
During the meeting with Peach, the prime minister expressed "special interest" in improving bilateral ties and voiced her satisfaction with the recent signing of a declaration on advancing cooperation between Serbia and the United Kingdom in fighting organized crime, the cabinet said in a press release.
Peach said the UK was willing to continue strengthening cooperation with Serbia, primarily in the economy, environmental protection, energy and the framework of shared project cooperation. The meeting touched on opening a "creative Serbian embassy" in London to promote the creative industries and innovation of Serbia and its citizens in the UK.
Peach told Dacic that London was fully supportive of the KFOR mission in Kosovo in line with the U.N. Security Council's Resolution 1244 in 1999. The British official also met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Chief of Staff Milan Mojsilovic.
