The president of Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik, stated on Dec. 14 that Europe should free Bosnia and Herzegovina of the colonial status, of high representative Christian Schmidt and of foreigners in the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Dodik assessed that there was no unity in the European Union and that Europe was “not having any bright days ahead,” which will affect the countries in the Balkans. In his words, this will be discussed at the EU Summit that is under way in Brussels.

“If they decide for Bosnia to obtain the negotiation status, that will be a political decision. They will do it if they give that status to Ukraine and Moldova. Bosnia should be free of the colonial status, of Schmidt and of the foreigners in the Constitutional Court,” he told reporters in Banjaluka.

He said that “a very hard summit” was taking place in Brussels, which would show what the state the EU is in, adding that there was no unity on key issues in the EU. He said the EU’s policy regarding the conflict in Ukraine was “way off target” and that the U.S. would do everything to “shift the burden of the conflict onto Brussels.”
