Negotiations on forming a new government are not under way, but it may very well become clear before the upcoming Labor Day and Easter holidays who will be a part of it, an MP of the ruling Socialist Party of Serbia, Suzana Paunovic, said late on April 18.

Paunovic told Insajder TV that the forming of a new government "is not the most important thing at this moment" because "a diplomatic struggle is in progress in the Council of Europe to prevent the accession of Kosovo, i.e. in the U.N. to prevent the adoption of a resolution on genocide in Srebrenica."

The legal deadline for the forming of a new cabinet is May 6.

The prime minister-designate is Serbian Progressive Party President Milos Vucevic, while the Socialist party is the Progressives' long-time coalition partner.
