The students from the association "One out of The Five Million" condemned on Oct. 2 the attacks on the rector of the Belgrade University, Ivanka Popovic, and the deputy dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Danijel Sinani, professor Rasa Karapandza and other professors who, as they said "dared to think freely."
The statement of the association reads that Popovic, Karapandza and Sinani supported the students' requests during their blockade of the Rectorate of the University in Belgrade, and the response was "the verbal attacks of officials of the Serbian Progressive Party, as well as of the regime-controlled media" against them.
The students condemned the assessments of journalist Milomir Maric at the Television Happy, assessing that "this was one of the examples of the authorities performing a media harangue and spreading negative propaganda against all those who have a different opinion."
