The presidents of Serbia and Belarus, Aleksandar Vucic and Alexander Lukashenko, placed wreaths at the Memorial Cemetery of the liberators of Belgrade and the Monument to the Red Army soldier, it was reported on the Serbian president's Instagram profile.
While in Serbia, Lukashenko is slated to meet with top state officials and address Serbian MPs.
President Vucic was there to meet Lukashenko upon his arrival at the Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade.
Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei, who is part of the Belarusian delegation, met on Dec. 2 with Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic and discussed bilateral relations.
The officials expressed "great pleasure" that the visit to Serbia by Lukashenko was taking place during the year when the two countries marked 25 years of diplomatic relations.
The Serbia-Belarus Business Forum is taking place in Belgrade on Dec. 3 as part of the Belarusian state and business delegation's visit to Serbia.
