Serbian and Kosovo agreement on railway link - Munich (Beta/President's office/Dimitrije Goll)
Representatives of Serbia and Kosovo signed on Feb. 14 in Munich agreements which are to result in the restoring of the railway link and the construction of the Belgrade-Pristina highway, reads a post on Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's Instagram account.
"On Feb. 14 in Munich, President Vucic attended the signing of a statement of intent for establishing a Belgrade-Pristina railway corridor and a statement of intent for the completion of construction of the Belgrade-Pristina highway," reads the post on @buducnostsrbijeav.
According to the post, Vucic said after the signing that "this is very important for the Serbs living in Gracanica, Kosovsko Pomoravlje and Sirinicka Zupa."
The director of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric, signed the statements of intent on behalf of Serbia in the presence of Vucic, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, U.S. special envoy for the negotiations between Serbia and Kosovo, Richard Grenell, and U.S. Ambassador to Belgrade Anthony Godfrey.
The U.S. Embassy in Berlin tweeted that Grenell "opened @MunSecConf with the historic signing of railway and highway agreements between Serbia and Kosovo, following last month’s agreement to restore direct flights between Belgrade and Pristina."
