The first meeting of a group of managers of a platform aimed at boosting competitiveness and innovation in the Western Balkans is taking place on Feb. 21 in Tirana.
The Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) and the World Economic Forum (WEF) will present in Tirana a competitiveness and innovation accelerator for the Western Balkans, a platform for cooperation between the private and public sector.
Besides RCC Secretary General Majlinda Bregu and WEF Executive Committee member Martina Larkin, the opening will also be attended by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Albanian Minister of Economy and Finance Anila Denaj.
The accelerator is the first platform of its kind in the region and the world.
Participants in the meeting will agree on further steps in the accelerator's development and priorities for developing an Action Plan, and the founding of the group of managers and the role of the regional coordinator will be formalized. The participants will also set the main activities for 2020.
