Serbian Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali said on Dec. 13 that another minimum wage equaling RSD30,367 would be paid to employees in the Serbian tourist and hospitality sectors starting on Dec. 14, and that for that purpose a budget allocation of two billion dinars had been made.

"This is sectoral support to 72,500 workers in tourist agencies,, car rentals, restaurants, bars and hotels. The financial aid will mean something to employees in the sectors hardest hit by the coronavirus pandemic," Mali said in a written statement.

The minister explained it was the sixth consecutive minimum wage for the employees of these sectors, meaning that the government aid had covered half the business year.
