The Srbijagas public utility announced that as of Oct. 1 gas meters would record the volume of natural gas consumed in kilowatt hours (Kwh) instead of cubic meters (m³).

In a release on the company website, Srbijagas explained that the Energy Agency had approved a decision on the price of natural gas supply, following a decree to amend the existing pricing methodology. “According to the decision, the formula for the ‘capacity’ tariffs is the dinar/KWh/day/year and for the ‘energy’ tariffs it’s the dinar/kWh,” the public gas utility has reported.

“The methodology has changed after the way the natural gas deliveries are measured changed, and because Kwh replaced m³ as the calculation value.” Srbijagas has underlined that the new way in which the price of natural gas is expressed “will have no financial effects on the gas tariffs and average prices.”
