Dragan Sormaz (BETAPHOTO/BRANISLAV BOZIC/MO)

Dragan Sormaz, an MP of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party, is one of its more publicly visible members mostly because he voices views that are different than those of his colleagues. He differs from the party’s other prominent officials in his attitude toward the West and favors membership in NATO and efforts to improve relations with the U.S. He has uttered sharp statements against Russia and has voiced unkind sentiments toward war criminals convicted for crimes in the wars of the 1990s.
