New Serbian Dveri movement president Ivan Kostic’s appointment as chief of the extra-parliamentary party comes nine months after its longtime leader Bosko Obradovic withdrew in the wake of its debacle in parliamentary elections. Kostic faces the difficult job of restoring the strength of the devastated party which was once one of the leading right-wing options in the Serbian opposition. Kostic was nominated for president by Obradovic, who still calls the shots in the party.
