Novi Sad’s activist Mila Pajic, demonized by pro-government media for months, found herself in the limelight again last week, having participated in a meeting discussing a takeover of the Serbian Broadcasting Corporation (RTS) during the March 15 protest in Belgrade. Pajic, one of the activists involved in the group Students Against Authoritarian Rule (STAV, meaning stance) and the Youth Initiative for Human Rights, has been frequently targeted by Aleksandar Vucic’s government for her views and political activity, but the students who have been blocking the university for months are distancing themselves from her, too.
