Protests Turn Radical

Numerous farmers’ organizations in Serbia have announced that they intend to stage several-hour-long blockades of around 80 highways, regional and local roads this week, due to the catastrophic state that agriculture is in. These organizations have also announced that they have ceased all dialogue with Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Dragan Glamocic over his incorrect and insulting statements on farmers – from claiming that they earn EUR4,000 a year per cow, to insulting them and calling them “drunk millionaires” and amateur politicians.
