Milan Knezevic (BETAPHOTO/MILOS MISKOV)
Milan Knezevic, one of the leaders of the Serbs in Montenegro, found himself in the limelight again over the past several weeks as the leader of protesting residents in Botun, who strongly oppose the building of a wastewater treatment plant in the Zeta municipality, near Podgorica. Knezevic, who is president of the Democratic People’s Party, has threatened to quit the ruling coalition unless the construction is stopped, but it is unlikely that he will.
