Momcilo Sovilj (BETAPHOTO/DRAGAN GOJIC)
Aleksandar Vucic’s authorities have decided to replace the head of the Police Directorate in Novi Sad again. The incumbent Nevenko Maric’s term ended after mere eight months, and he is being replaced by Momcilo Sovilj, a longtime deputy chief of the Novi Sad Police Directorate. What recommended Sovilj, the fourth police chief in Vojvodina’s capital in the past five years, to Vucic’s government, was his harsh actions against protesters and insults against students.
