Macron To Vucic: Serbia Can Count On France's Absolute Support

French President Emmanuel Macron told Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on April 2 that Serbia could count on France's absolute support, including strong support on its European path.

Macron said during the telephone conversation that Serbia, as well as Vucic personally, had his full support, stated the office of the Serbian president. Vucic asked Macron for France's aid to the population of Serbia in the form of medicines and raw materials for the production of medicines that are applied in the treatment of those infected with the new corona virus.

According to the statement, the two presidents "declared their determination" to also cooperate in the removing of economic consequences of the pandemic and to continue work on the development of strategic relations between Serbia and France.

Vucic thanked Macron for support and "care and the human and statesmanlike solidarity" which he demonstrated for the people of Serbia, despite the difficult situation and the large number of infected people in France.
