The most vulnerable part of the private, entrepreneurial sector will be to count on additional support which is being arranged on the basis of a proposal devised by businesses, by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce in association with the relevant ministries, Chamber president Marko Cadez said on Jan. 5.

"Clearly state aid in the future can no longer be linear, equal for all companies, but directed toward that those that need this assistance the most - the most vulnerable sectors and small businesses. We will discuss, for example, the possibilities for additional aid for passenger traffic which, like tourism, has suffered huge losses," Cadez said in an interview with BETA.

He stressed that it was important to continue with strong state guarantee schemes to lessen the risk that banks face when investing in small and medium-sized companies, while companies will be given access to the most favorable possible loans, coupled with the maximum utilization of the possibilities that European and American partner programs such as the DFC, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and European Investment Bank have to offer.
