Serbia has lost 12 more lives to the COVID-19 epidemic in the last 24 hours, while 2,335 people were confirmed to be newly infected with the coronavirus that causes the disease, it was announced on Aug. 30.
The Ministry of Health announced on its covid19.rs website that 12,740 samples had been tested in the same time frame. Of the 1,157 currently hospitalized COVID patients, 75 are on ventilators.
Since the beginning of the epidemic in Serbia, the 7,278 people have died of the disease.
