In Serbia, 24 Die of COVID-19 as 8,949 Confirmed Newly Infected

In the last 24 hours, 24 people have died of COVID-19 in Serbia, which raises the death toll of the epidemic to date to 12,936.

According to a Jan. 10 post on the covid19.rs website, 8,949 new cases of infection were confirmed among 26,133 persons tested in the same time frame.

There are 2,229 patients currently hospitalized with COVID-19, 87 of whom are on ventilators. Since the outbreak, 7,444,532 people have been tested in Serbia, and 1,359,544 were found to be positive for the novel coronavirus.
