If Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic continues to ignore the European Union’s recommendations and requests regarding the elections and to disregard European standards and values, a reaction from Brussels should be expected, Democratic Party leader Zoran Lutovac said on Feb. 22.

Speaking for the NIN weekly, Lutovac conceded that the European Parliament’s resolution on Serbia’s December 2023 elections is not legally binding, but stated that the Serbian Constitution is, and that it stipulates free and fair elections.

Addressing Serbia’s latest elections, held on Dec. 17 of last year, Lutovac concluded that the voter fraud was perpetrated not only on the local Belgrade level, but also throughout the country, and that the regime has not been legitimate for quite some time.
