A co-president of the Green Left Front, Radomir Lazovic, said on April 15 that the opposition would run united in the coming polls, even though differences in opinion had emerged within the Serbian against Violence coalition over the idea to boycott the polls, and that everything would be done to reach a consensus.

“The coalition is made up of very different organizations that often maintain very different views, but isn’t that normal? Isn’t that what we’ve been fighting for? We have managed to agree upon almost all important matters so far. A boycott is not a goal, but rather a means to make change possible. It’s a means that comes at a price,” Lazovic said in an interview with the N1 TV.

The opposition politician said that any decision had positive and negative aspects, and the Serbia Against Violence coalition had developed several scenario, but refused to disclose them, because the coalition was in the middle of negotiations and was waiting for the authorities to respond to their suggestions.

“We want to give the talks every chance. It would be bad if we get out of the process without making a step closer to free and fair elections. We have forced the government to repeat the elections, which is a big success for the opposition. International support from all over the world is also a success. The talks are underway as to what we are going to do with that,” Lazovic said.
