Extreme right parties have filed criminal reports against the journalists Ana Lalic and Dinko Gruhonjic of Novi Sad alleging hate speech, the European Center for Press and Media Freedom said in a press release.
After the death threats and persecution that Lalic and Gruhonjic have been exposed to for months, the criminal reports were filed by representatives of the Oath-Keepers party, whose leader Milica Djurdjevic Stamenkovski is Serbia's minister of demographics and care for the family.
Due to the death threats, the Media Freedom Rapid Response assigned extraordinary security measures to Lalic and Gruhonjic, the ECPMF's press release read.
The press release reads that the filing of criminal reports against Gruhonjic have also been announced by the Dveri movement, the People's Party and the I Live for Serbia movement.
