Official Pristina wants the international community to provide guarantees regarding the implementation of the Agreement on the path to normalization between Kosovo and Serbia, namely the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities, Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani said on July 10.
In an evening statement for the Voice of America, Osmani claimed that Kosovo is not shying away from its obligations but insists that Serbia be held to the same standard.
“What we insist upon is the parallel implementation of the agreement reached in Brussels, known as the Basic Agreement, as well as the Ohrid Annex, which entail obligations from Kosovo, some of which have been severe concessions. However, Serbia, too, has clear obligations which, in sum, amount to the de facto recognition of Kosovo, as Europe’s leaders have made clear,” she concluded.
