Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic on Aug. 27 said that Serbia was the only free country in the region, adding that potential omissions made, if any, during halting and questioning Croatian pop singer Severina Vuckovic at the Serbian border would be corrected.
In a release, Dacic said that it was a message to “political scumbags in the region who are now making a mountain out of a molehill,” adding that such individuals would never correct themselves, because what kept them going was “hatred of Serbia and everything Serbian, as well as of President Aleksandar Vucic.”
“They do not care a bit about Severina, but how to attack Serbia. And, why do not they allow President Vucic to pay a visit to Jasenovac (extermination camp for the Serbs, Romani and Jews run by the Independent State of Croatia during WW II in present day Croatia)? Why do not they allow ministers to visit Jasenovac? Why they tend to keep for hours at their border anyone with any links with the state of Serbia?", Dacic asked. He also said that Bosnia and Herzegovina Foreign Minister Elmedin Konakovic had the tendency of seeing in everything an opportunity to attack Serbia, but somehow always failed to mention Mujahideen whom they had granted citizenship, or Naser Oric, an ICTY convict, or any other crime committed against the Serbs.
