In a statement addressed to the participants of the high security representative meeting of BRICS and its partner countries in St. Petersburg, Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin said that “Serbia expects the great powers to take responsibility for the fate of the planet.”

According to the press release, issued on Sept. 12 by the Serbian Government, Vulin asked for “fear of destruction [and] shame over crimes of the past be returned” to the world and for the introduction of “a system of collective security where the rules will be clear and where color revolutions will not be used to change the electoral will of the people.”

Vulin went on to say that BRICS, comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, can offer not only an economic alliance but also has the potential to become a guarantor of security, returning balance and fear to the world.

“If you do not offer our planet hope, our generation will be the first to witness a planet not worth living on,” Vulin concluded.

The deputy prime minister also stated that both Serbs and Russians believe that the truth in itself is enough, which is why neither nation defended itself or took seriously the attempts to revise the truth about the Second World War or the results of those attempts.
