Despite the claims of pro-regime media in the wake of the latest attacks on Kosovo Serbs, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will not dare declare the enemy occupation of Kosovo, for fear of backlash from his “Western mentors,” the oppositional conservative movement Dveri said on Sept. 13.
“Although certain pro-regime media have reported that Vucic will declare Kosovo and Metohija occupied, the president of Serbia will not dare do so, foremost because of his Western mentors Olaf Scholz and Emmanuel Macron, whose Franco-German ultimatum for Kosovo he has already accepted. To divert attention from the current regime’s treasonous policy toward Kosovo, Vucic’s media keep trying to spin him as a patriot,” the press release reads.
At 6 p.m. on Sept. 13, President Vucic will be presenting the measures official Belgrade will implement in response to the latest events in Kosovo.
