The 40th General Assembly of the Association of Public Postal Operators of Europe - PostEurop, was opened in Belgrade, on Oct. 16, bringing together 55 public postal operators from 53 member states.
The Posts of Serbia was chosen to be the next host of the PostEurop General Assembly last year in Bratislava, which, as noted, reflected recognition of its status, competence and role in the European postal sector. Discussed during the opening of the General Assembly were the plans for the development of the postal industry in Europe and the challenges the sector had been facing.
The Posts of Serbia will also host the Business Forum taking place on Oct. 17, with the focus on artificial intelligence. PostEurop was founded in 1993, bringing together European public postal operators, with the main goal to support the development of the postal industry through strategic projects of importance for European public operators.
