A Nov. 25 session of the Parliament of Serbia, expected to see a debate on the 2025 Budget Bill,  was repeatedly interrupted by scuffles breaking out between opposition and government MPs.

After the agenda was adopted, opposition representatives held up the signs reading "You Have Blood on Your Hands" and "Corruption Kills," to which their government peers responded with their own, saying, "Yellow Scum - Corruption and Theft are your Middle Names."

Opposition MPs approached the benches where government representatives were seated, leading initially to verbal and then physical altercations, after which the Serbian speaker, Ana Brnabic, called for security.

The incidents continued in the public galleries, where female MPs belonging to the ruling majority displayed a banner reading, "Yellow Thieves Want War, Serbia Wants Work," prompting some opposition MPs to attempt to remove the banner.

Brnabic then adjourned the session and called for consultations with representatives of the parliamentary groups.

When the session resumed, amid whistling and trumpet-blowing by opposition MPs, all agenda items were adopted without a debate, whereby the session was concluded very quickly.
