Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric said on Jan. 15 that the coordinated actions by Kosovo Premier Albin Kurti's government in Kosovo were a "dangerous escalation" and an obvious attempt to undermine the collective rights and identity of Serbs in Kosovo, and called on the international community to respond immediately and not turn a blind eye.

"Today's coordinated actions by Kurti's government, targeting Serbian institutions in Kosovo Polje, Gracanica, Lipljan, Velika Hoca, Orahovac, Kusce, and numerous other enclaves, mark a dangerous escalation. These aggressive moves are not just an attack on institutions but a blatant attempt to undermine the collective rights and identity of Serbs in Kosovo," Djuric said in a post on the X social media platform in English.

He stressed that it was obvious that Kurti was using the provocations as a part of his election campaign, ignoring human rights and violating agreements meant to protect peace and coexistence, and added that this strategy only deepened divisions and threatened the region's stability.

Inspectors and police officers from Pristina raided several buildings of Serbian government institutions in Gracanica, the Serbian Broadcasting Corporation reported. According to the Serbian Broadcasting Corporation website, they raided the premises of the interim body of the Pristina municipality, the post office building and the offices of the Kosovo Administrative District.
