Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced that the Serb Ticket party won all ten seats reserved for the Serb minority in Kosovo’s parliamentary elections on Feb. 9.

"These results are almost unbelievable, having in mind everything (Kosovo Prime Minister Albin) Kurti has been doing to destroy the Serb people and the Serb Ticket," Vucic said late in the evening on Feb. 9. The president also said that many foreign entities had been doing everything to destroy the party, too, "either secretly or publicly," supporting everyone else against the strongest Serb representative.

Six Serb parties participated in the parliamentary polls in Kosovo, including the Serb Ticket, fully supported by Belgrade.

"I congratulate everyone in the Serb Ticket party, and I am immensely grateful to our people," Vucic said, adding that it is quite clear the Serb Ticket "will be a barrier to further attacks by (Kosovo Prime Minister Albin) Kurti."

"Kurti had celebrated our downfall here in Belgrade until yesterday, but I am afraid that he will now have to worry about himself and his survival in power," Vucic said.
