Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on March 11 published about his “friendly talk” in Belgrade with Donald Trump Jr., US President’s son, focusing on “bilateral relations between Serbia and the US and the topics of current interest shaping the global political and economic scene.”
“I underlined the importance of economic and political relations between Serbia and the US, stressing the significance of strategic cooperation between the two countries and joint projects in the coming years. This meeting symbolizes the commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and joint work on addressing global challenges,” Vucic wrote on his Instagram.
In a separate post on Instagram, Vucic wrote that he showed his guest “beautiful Belgrade” from the terrace of the Presidency building, adding he was happy that “the dear guest” could feel some of the energy and see the city that “connects the past and the future, and tradition and innovation. He added: “I hope you will enjoy every moment in Serbia and I believe that this is only the beginning of even stronger relations between our countries.”
Media have reported that Trump Jr. has arrived on his second visit to Belgrade in six months. Last time he visited was during his father’s presidential campaign, in late September last year. Prior to his meeting with Trump Jr., Vucic said it would address the economy and “new major challenges, but also achievements that will come in the future.”
