A one-stop-border-post was opened on April 12 at the Blace/Elez Han border crossing between North Macedonia and Kosovo.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Prime Ministers of North Macedonia and Kosovo, Hristijan Mickoski and Albin Kurti, as well as government delegations, directors of state administrations, and diplomats.

North Macedonia’s Interior Minister Pance Toskovski said that the implementation of the joint border control system at the Blace/Elez Han crossing marked a new phase in cooperation between the two countries.

Located 13 kilometers from Skopje, the One Stop Shop is expected to handle over 4.3 million travelers annually and is one of the busiest in North Macedonia. It plays a key role in the international transit of passengers and goods, which the joint control is expected to expedite, said Toskovski.
