The future of the economy is built by a responsible transformation of the labor market, investing in personnel and adapting financial mechanisms to new risks from the environment - is the message that was sent by the participants of a conference called, Key Real and Financial Sector Trends, being held on Mt. Zlatibor, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce announced on Sept. 23.

The participants of a panel titled, Trends for a Stronger Economy: Reformers of Employers and Advancing Human Capital” agreed that investing in personnel and developing skills that reflect what the labor market needs are key to a successful economy, the Chamber said.

“Roles in business are no longer strictly divided – today, employers and employees are partners in introducing digital changes. Employers have a responsibility to secure efficient, secure and sustainable solutions while the job of employees is to accept new processes and actively be included in transformation. Digitalization is not just a technological, but a cultural change, which demands cooperation, constant learning and the improvement of the work environment,” director of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce’s Directorate for Smilja Obradovic said.

The panel stressed the role of digitalization in improving processes and work environment as well as the need for employees to constantly keep developing their knowledge and skills.
