Practically all the faculties at state universities - except at the University of Novi Sad in some cases - are working, and all the schools are working except the Aviation Academy in Belgrade's Zemun district, in which there are relations between two schools - a high school and a college - which must be resolved, Serbian Prime Minister Djuro Macut said on Sept. 26.
He also said that next week he would be visiting state universities for a dialogue on the start of the new academic year, which has been announced for Nov. 3.
The prime minister told state public broadcaster RTS that the Serbian government was currently processing national textbooks, adding that he expected them to be adopted as soon as possible.
Macut, who has been at the cabinet's helm since this past April, said that the government was structurally different and that it included numerous experts.
"The problem is that some ministers are 'sleeping,' maybe the government's pace is not respected in a sense, we should all be more proactive and I expect we will correct that," said the prime minister.
