Josko Kadivnik, director of the Intelligence and Security Agency of Slovenia, has visited U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House, the Agency announced in a Nov. 12 post on the X social media network.

Kadivnik spearheaded a Slovenian delegation on a visit to Washington. The posts on the Agency's X account included an image of Kadivnik and Trump together. While in Washington, Kadivnik also met with Central Intelligence Agency director John Ratcliffe. Trump gifted him a presidential coin.

The U.S. side said in a press release that Slovenian Ambassador to the U.S. Iztok Mirosic was also present at the Nov. 10 meeting with Trump at the White House. The Slovenian Intelligence and Security Agency played a crucial role in the arrest in Ljubljana of Russian spies who were last summer part of a big prisoner swap between Russia and Western countries, which saw multiple Americans return home, the Slovenian news agency STA reported.

Then-U.S. president Joseph Biden personally thanked Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob for his country's contribution. Golob paid the White House an official visit last October, while Kadivnik received a visit from then-CIA director William Burns in Slovenia in the same month.
