During a panel titled The Power of Human Capital, Macut said that information and communication technology now represented Serbia’s largest export sector, adding that Serbia was among the leading countries in digital governance.
Macut also said that the global labor market would face profound changes in the future, noting that a significant portion of the existing professions would be transformed over the next decade, which required timely investments in education, retraining and continuous professional advancements.
Speaking about the cooperation between Serbia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Macut stressed that it relied on a strategic partnership which was not reflected only in the exchange of experiences, but also in strengthening institutional preparedness and long-term resilience. Through the Government Experience Exchange program, he added, Serbia and the UAE had built a partnership focused on learning, anticipating future challenges and improving the capacity of public administration.
In Dubai, Macut also met with Daniil Shuleyko, CEO of Yango Group, which manages Yandex services in Serbia. He stressed that Yango Group had around 1,400 employees in Serbia, and was among important players in Serbia’s IT sector and digital ecosystem.
