Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on March 7 that he saw Serbia as an European Union member in 2035 and that the most important goal over the next decade was to preserve peace and stability.

"I see Serbia as an European Union member in 2035. Will we have voting rights, a commissioner? I don't know. But for that to happen we have to speed up out reforms, not be unable to deliver in agriculture," Vucic said presenting the Serbia 2030 Strategy.

He emphasized the vision of Serbia 2030-2035, stressing that the country was on the path of progress, but that the progress was not fast enough. He said that the country would be ahead of other nations in the region in the future, especially when it came to applying artificial intelligence.

"A lot of the people think we are presenting the 2030-35 program because we want to rule until then. They don't understand that without a strategy you are nothing and there is no success," Vucic said, adding that this was the era of the fastest changes in the history of humankind.
