Strategic dialogue between the United States and Serbia, scheduled to begin on July 17, “reflects a new age of the two countries’ relations,” the U.S. Department of State declared for Radio Free Europe (RFE).
According to the statement, “this is a sign of the two countries’ commitment to expanding and deepening partnership,” RFE reported.
“Through dialogue, the United States and Serbia will work on common goals, including regional peace and stability, expanded business and educational connections, and on building a more prosperous future,” the statement reads. It was stated further that, on Aug. 6 last year, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the holding of the first strategic dialogue between the U.S. and Serbia.
Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric announced earlier that the U.S.-Serbia strategic dialogue would begin in Washington on July 17, and described it as one of the most significant news in the two countries’ relations in recent years. Djuric and the Serbian delegation have arrived in Washington, where, on July 16, he signed the document on Serbia’s joining the Artemis space program and a series of agreements on cooperation with the U.S. space agency NASA.
