Party of Freedom and Justice vice president Marinika Tepic on Jan. 21 said that “a horrible campaign” had been conducted against her, a part of which was also “a video clip marking her as a traitor,” noting it was clear that it had been cooked by “the red-black coalition of the Serbian Progressive Party and the Socialist Party of Serbia.”

“The same arm was conducting campaigns against journalist Slavko Curuvij and Oliver Ivanovic,” Tepic told a news conference at the Serbian parliament.

According to Tepic, the campaign had intensified “from the moment she asked the question whether the foreign minister and the Socialists’ leader, Ivica Dacic, had been abusing the issue of Kosovo and patriotism by racketeering businesspeople and taking money from them for the alleged effort to make countries withdraw their recognition of Kosovo’s independence, while he had actually been using that money for himself and his party.”

Speaking about arms trade, Tepic said that President Aleksandar Vucic “has harnessed the entire system to cover up for his problematic associate, problematic arms trader Slobodan Tesic.” According to Tepic, a document of the National Bank of Serbia, signed by Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic, “has enabled Tesic’s company Partizan to do business as a buyer not as a commission agent, meaning that the goods is purchased in Serbia in dinars and then sold at a multiply higher price in foreign currency without the obligation to report such sale or pay applicable taxes.”
