Serbian Progressive Party whip Milenko Jovanov said on April 18 that local elections would be held in Belgrade on June 2 whether the opposition ran in them or not.
Jovanov told Happy TV that "elections in Belgrade are in progress," and that "the election tickets have been declared and electoral activities are in underway," and that "in that sort of sense" he did not see any problems.
