North Macedonia, too, have used NATO mechanisms to fight the coronavirus outbreak, as the country joined the Alliance on March 27.

The NATO reported that North Macedonia is using NATO’s Next-Generation Incident Command System (NICS) to coordinate responses to the pandemic.

"The system allows all North Macedonia's institutions, as well as organizations like the Red Cross, to communicate and coordinate their activities as efficiently as possible," says a press release.

The NICS also offers information about the pandemic, advice and contact information as to questions on food and drugs.

North Macedonia's flag was flying at the NATO headquarters in Brussels and the NATO Allied Command in Norflok, Virginia on March 30.
