Croatia has registered an increased number of new coronavirus infections, but restrictive measures are not yet being considered.

The national civil defense headquarters announced on June 29 that 1,197 new infection cases were registered in the past 24 hours, and that one person died from the disease. That is almost twice as many new infections as last week.

There are 4,647 active cases, of whom 243 are being treated in hospitals, five of them on ventilators. Around 3,500 people were tested on June 28. Despite the growing number of new cases, Croatia is not yet planning to reinstate the epidemiological measures.

North Macedonia reported 148 new cases of infection and one fatality on June 29. 1,261 tests were performed in the past 24 hours and 45 people were cured, the health authorities have stated. The Commission for Infectious Diseases has announced that the number of positive cases of COVID-19 in North Macedonia increased by 65 percent last week.
