There is a new momentum in the European Union enlargement process, but further efforts toward the Western Balkans making progress on the European path should be based on the principles of consistency and trust, European Council President Antonio Costa has said in Tirana.
After an informal dinner he organized for the Western Balkan participants of the European Political Community Summit and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in the evening on May 15, Costa wrote on social networks that the principle of consistency applied to both sides.
"Consistency - from the EU in keeping enlargement at the top of its political agenda. And consistency from partners in aligning with our values and delivering on reforms," Costa wrote on X.
