The preconditions for exporting fish from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Russia have been met and exports will ensue in the coming period, the Bosnian foreign trade minister has said.

The office for veterinarian affairs, in association with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia, has harmonized a certificate with the Russian Federation and we expect fish exports to this important market,” Stasa Kocarac, the Bosnia Minister of Trade and Economic Affairs has been quoted as saying by Nezavisne Novine.

He added that, according to existing practices, the process of certifying domestic companies for exports would now begin and that Russian inspectors were expected to visit Bosnia.

Currently, he said, the Ribnjak Janj Tropik Ribarstvo fishery has been nominated for the exports and that he hoped that the number of partners from Republika Srpska and the Muslim-Croat Federation would rise in the coming period.
