Over the last three days, 937 entrepreneurs have asked for their status to be frozen so that they don’t have to pay their dues, daily Vecernje Novosti reports. Entrepreneurs working for their own salary, such as hairdressers, beauticians, tailors and cab drivers have started temporarily closing up shop.

During the coronavirus epidemic, hairdressers and beauticians have almost no revenue, since in some cities they have already been banned from working by special decisions. In the coming days that number is expected to be much higher. Business Registers Agency representatives explain that these entrepreneurs have the option or suspend their activities for a definite or indefinite period of time, i.e. to “freeze” their business, daily Blic reports.

The reps recommended that entrepreneurs do not come to the Agency to submit their documents, but rather to send the papers via post. Aside from the forms for work suspension, they also need to pay a RSD750 fee. They can do that online, too.
