The VINCI Airports company announced on June 27 that it had appointed Chivoine Rem to the post of general director of the Belgrade Airport Nikola Tesla company, who will formally assume the post in the following weeks.
The outgoing general director, Francois Berisot, has been appointed director of the airport in Budapest. “I am pleased to be coming to Belgrade to join the ongoing great successful transformation of the Nikola Tesla Airport. We will continue to focus on making the airport a model in the region for growth, efficiency, customer experience and care for the environment,” the company quoted Rem as saying.
With an engineering degree from the Polytechnic University in Paris, Chivoine Rem is an expert with international experience in public and private sectors. In France, he was until recently the general director of the Rennes and Dinard airports, which are part of VINCI’s network of airports.
According to the statement, as the general director of Belgrade Airport, Chivoine Rem will realize the project of expansion and modernization, to make the Belgrade Airport reach the capacity of 15 million passengers per year at the end of the concession period and “affirm the position of a transport hub in South East Europe.”
