The most in-demand employment sectors in Serbia are still trade and sales, mechanical engineering, information technologies, administration, and hospitality, as suggested by data collected on Poslovi Infostud website, and published on Aug. 19.
Serbia’s labor market is fairly stable, but challenges have continued, especially in trades and lower-skill sectors, the report stated.
Among the most sought-after occupations during the first seven months of the year were warehouse workers, drivers, administrative workers, production workers, waiters, sales representatives, cleaners, and telephone operators.
The average salary of a sales representative, amounting to RSD 118,000, was the highest among the most sought-after professions, while plumbers, with a monthly salary of 125,000 dinars, topped the list of shortage occupations in terms of average earnings.
Additionally, six percent of all job postings since the beginning of the year were meant for persons with disabilities, which, according to Infostud, reveals a growing effort by employers to create a more inclusive work environment.
