After talks with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, the United States postponed the start of sanctions against the Oil Industry of Serbia (NIS) by eight more days, until Oct. 8 - 9, the Serbian Broadcasting Corporation (RTS) reported on Sept. 27.

A previous decision to postpone the sanctions gave NIS until Oct. 1, but RTS learned that after Vucic-led negotiations the Americans decided to defer the sanctions by eight more days.

President Vucic told RTS earlier that the talks with U.S. partners involved a request to postpone the sanctions against NIS. The latest decision to give the company another eight days is the seventh delay approved by the U.S.
