First 100 days (BETAPHOTO/SERBIAN GOVERNMENT/SLOBODAN MILJEVIC)

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic last week presented the results of the first 100 days in office of her new cabinet. Stressing the struggle against the coronavirus epidemic and organized crime as the biggest success stories, the prime minister pushed economic results and prospects into the background, along with issues such as media freedoms, (non)parliamentarism, corruption etc... Pointing out that vaccination in Serbia started three days earlier than in the European Union, Brnabic said that Serbia was the only European country whose citizens could pick the vaccine they wanted to receive and added that “many bigger and wealthier countries are learning from Serbia how to efficiently organize immunization of the population.” Brnabic also said that Serbia was one of the two or three countries in the world that had managed to build new hospitals, specifically two, during the ongoing health crisis.
